An impressive statue crystal handmade sommerso technique, the first layer dressed in emerald green is one of neodymium (also known as Alexandrite) which, in turn, is dressed in crystal clear.

Why impressive? For that, beyond the intrinsic beauty - color and shape, presence of neodymium layer provides the ability to track change color depending on light. Thus the sun's natural light color is lilac to white-fluorescent light source changes color and a smoky blue artificial light source neodymium layer becomes yellow. It is due to the presence of neodymium oxide (Nd3O3).

Condition: almost new piece is in excellent condition, no flaws.
Dimensions: height 14 cm, length 15 cm x 8 cm.


A hand-blown crystal statuette, representing a dolphin leaping from the waves. At least that was the glazier artist's intention - as long as modeled wave-shaped base - which breaks the blue dolphin jumping. The object is achieved sommerso technique (invented even the Murano in 1930 by Carlo Scarpa), two layers of glass, ie the colored (something between Lapis Lazuli and Royal Cobalt blue) and clear - that is covering - and is modeled in the form. Such a crystal object art modeling involves a highly technical, requiring at least two artists to do. If we were to refer to the shape / silhouette piece, my beautiful epithet would seem poor, given the beautiful color and perfect proportions, I would say. I do not know if the images are sufficiently indicative that whatever you photograph, you can not represent the crystal magnificence and splendor. You need to have the piece at hand to achieve what you have to do!
It should also be mentioned, and not least, this subject of art, offered for sale, is large (say not very large) for its category, if we consider its overall quotas - to what is found generally in figurines /statuettes crystal.

Object proposed for sale is a statue / block crystal, a rare piece. I is also called "Relief", "Block Glass", "Sculpture", "Press-papier" (Paperweigt). So a block "full lead crystal", representing an aircraft departing from an airport. The airport is one of Linkoping, Sweden. The technique is called "Cameo glass". Of course you can not carve in the crystal, but it is called style and such "sculptures" - worked in the negative - are made manually, often with a cast. Contrast is made of an opaque surface which is the background picture. The idea is that of a sugestion ice sculptures. The piece is very beautiful, decorative - especially if exposed to a place with natural light. I can say that is very rare, yet we could not find another, similar, on NET.
The "Relief" is made in the workshop "Mantorp" Sweden, how to read and the original stickers.

Pricing can not comment too much.
